Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026 · Version: 1.0

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Seismocode Inc. ("Seismocode," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information submitted through www.seismocode.com — our public corporate website. It covers browsing this site and submitting the contact/demo-request form.

It does not cover MicSer, our HVSR validation product. If you create a MicSer account or use the MicSer application, that use is instead governed by MicSer's own Privacy Policy, which covers substantially more — account data, organization data, and the geophysical data you upload — none of which applies to this site.

Who we are

Seismocode Inc. is a Canadian company. Questions about this policy or your personal information can be sent to privacy@seismocode.com.

What we collect

We collect personal information in exactly one place on this site: the contact / "Book a demo" form at /contact/. We do not collect anything automatically through browsing — this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts (see the Cookie Notice for the full, verified list of what little this site does load).

When you submit the form, we receive:

  • Required: your name and email address.
  • Optional, if you choose to provide them: your company, phone number, area of interest (selected from a dropdown), and any message you write.

We only collect what the form itself asks for. Nothing else — no device fingerprinting, no hidden fields beyond a single honeypot field used to filter automated spam submissions, which is never shown to you and is not personal information.

How we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry — to evaluate interest in a pilot programme, answer a question, or follow up on a partnership or investment conversation. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or marketing automation, and we do not sell it or share it with any third party for their own purposes.

Where it's processed and stored

Form submissions are processed by a small serverless system we operate on Amazon Web Services (AWS), in AWS's eu-west-1 (Ireland) region: an API endpoint and a function that validates the submission, stores it, and sends us a notification email. AWS acts as our infrastructure provider (processor) for this — it does not use your information for its own purposes.

Because Seismocode is a Canadian company processing this data on infrastructure located in the European Union, your information does cross a border as part of normal operation of this system. We use AWS specifically because of the security and encryption controls described below, and your information is never transferred anywhere beyond this processing pipeline and our own inbox.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are automatically and permanently deleted two years after submission — enforced technically (a time-to-live setting on the database itself), not just as a policy we might forget to follow. We don't have a mechanism to retain a submission past that point even if we wanted to.

Security

Submissions are encrypted at rest in storage and are only ever transmitted over encrypted connections (this entire site is HTTPS-only). Access to the underlying systems is restricted to the minimum permissions each part of the pipeline actually needs to function — for example, the function that stores your submission cannot access unrelated systems.

Cookies

This site sets none. See the separate Cookie Notice for a verified, itemized account of the few third-party resources (fonts, a CDN library) the site does load, and why neither sets a cookie.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to have inaccurate information corrected, and to request that we delete it — subject to the two-year automatic deletion described above, which may mean there's nothing left to act on if enough time has already passed. To exercise any of these, email privacy@seismocode.com. We'll respond directly rather than through an automated process, since submission volume through this form is low.

Children's privacy

This site is a business-to-business resource for mining, geotechnical, and geothermal industry professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

If how this site collects or handles personal information changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page first and change the effective date above — not after the fact.
