Website Terms of Use
Scope of these Terms
These Website Terms of Use govern your access to and use of www.seismocode.com — Seismocode Inc.'s public corporate website, including the Solutions, Product, News, Company, and Contact pages, and this Trust page itself.
They do not cover MicSer, our HVSR validation product. If you create a MicSer account or use the MicSer application at micser.seismocode.com, that use is instead governed by MicSer's own Terms of Service and related policies, which are separate documents covering a different relationship — an account, an organization, billing, and the data you upload. Nothing on this website changes or extends those terms.
Who we are
Seismocode Inc. is a Canadian company, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. Throughout these Terms, "Seismocode," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Seismocode Inc.
Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or browsing this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These Terms apply to every visitor, whether or not you go on to submit the contact form or become a MicSer customer.
Permitted use of this site
You may view and navigate this website for your own informational purposes — evaluating Seismocode's technology, applications, or the MicSer product, or getting in touch about a pilot programme or partnership. You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from this site at scale;
- Attempt unauthorized access to any non-public system, including the infrastructure behind the contact form;
- Interfere with or disrupt this site's availability, security, or normal operation;
- Submit the contact form for any purpose other than a genuine enquiry — including using it to send unsolicited commercial messages.
Intellectual property in site content
This website's own content — its text, layout, design, graphics, diagrams, photography, and the Seismocode and SCOPE/SCOUT/MicSer names and marks — is owned by Seismocode Inc. or used under license, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse this content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. This is distinct from, and does not affect, any intellectual property or data rights that apply once you're an authenticated MicSer customer, which are addressed entirely by MicSer's own Terms of Service and Data Upload & Processing Policy.
The contact form
Submitting the contact / "Book a demo" form is how you reach us about a pilot programme, a technical question, or a partnership or investment conversation. What we do with the information you submit — and how it's stored, processed, and eventually deleted — is described in full in our Privacy Policy, not repeated here. Submitting the form does not create any contract or commitment on either side; it starts a conversation.
No warranty on site availability
This website is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including specific pages, the contact form, or particular content — without notice.
Links to third parties
This site links to services we don't control: LinkedIn and YouTube (our own company profiles), and the MicSer product itself at micser.seismocode.com. These are plain outbound links, not embedded content — nothing loads from those services unless you click through, and once you do, you're governed by that service's own terms and privacy practices, not ours.
No warranty on technical or scientific content
Descriptions of SCOPE, SCOUT, and the applications they support (mining, geotechnical, geothermal) are provided for informational purposes to help you evaluate whether Seismocode's technology fits your programme. They are not a substitute for a technical scoping conversation about your specific site, and nothing on this site constitutes a guarantee of results for any particular deployment.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Seismocode will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of this website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and does not apply to MicSer's own Terms of Service, which address liability for the product separately.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Province of Ontario.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will update the version number and effective date above. Continued use of this website after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
